The following is a list of all the features that have been implemented since version 2.108 of SmartCAT:

Changes and Fixes in Version 2.3.2

  • ' U ' tokens and other capitalize-next entries properly do so into and out of globaled text.
  • Global translations now properly delete leading/trailing space where appropriate
  • Addressed a 'tran range' error occurrence
  • Added memory and stability improvements for realtime
  • Improved text global reversing accuracy
  • Improved token global reversing
  • Fixed ASCII export line number error

  • Addressed TAB order in 'Replace' Window

    • Default spacing between left margin line numbers and text increased from 1 to 3
    • Added warning when out of disk space on ASCII export
  • Changes to Globals:
    • Enhanced ability to global during realtime
    • Steno Globals now match only text with matching steno
    • Added stability enhancements for 'Undo' information in globals
    • Improved multiple stroke addition to the global translation table
    • Increased maximum global size
    • Improved colloquy token globalling
    • Global, Find & Replace now recognize paragraph tokens
    • Improved stability for global reversing

  • File Backups are working, will now back up transcript each time it is saved (with F9/F10).
  • Debug logging added.
  • Caseview output stream line breaks / paragraph breaks fixed.
  • Hard spaces properly preventing word wrap.
  • Create New Dictionary prompts if overwriting an existing dictionary of same name.
  • Stentura/SmartWriter Realtime crash issues - will not crash when stopping realtime.
  • Number bar for numbers fixed, will now allow you to use overriding dictionary entries (for oneshots, etc).
  • Globals - Integer error when modifying transcript containg globals fixed.

    • Exporting Steno notes in an ASCII format

    • Summation page image can now be created page image ASCII now supports page break by adding blank lines to fill in space
  • Punctuation Rules
    • Punctuation toggle inside of .. is now set to move inside .. outside .. then removed.
    • Auto-punctuation is now not added to files without steno notes.
    • Auto-punctuation is now not removed when changing job formatting
    • Apostrophe punctuation rule has been corrected to function before ending punctuation of the sentence SmartEndings
    • Additional exclusionary words have been added to improve smart endings
  • Printing
    • You can now print in All Caps and preview the printing after setting it in your Job Properties
    • Printing Steno notes
    • Line numbers are printed with right justification on left side of page
  • Translation
    • You can Now translate a Real-time Job in ALL Caps
  • Message Boxes
    • Message box while successful spell check in dialogs.
    • Correct spell check box now gives Notification message instead or an error box If attempting to add a blank bookmark, SmartCAT now generates an error message Error message is now generated if an index mark has not been added
  • Color Options
    • Q/A Paragraph types now are set to different colors by default
    • Multiple Color palette have been included with SmartCAT
    • Color options for bookmarks has been added
    • Color options for index.s has been added
    • Color options for Resolved untranslates and conflicts has been added
    • Multiple color scheme may now be set
  • Editor
    • You may now Steno Global and entry more then once
    • Deleting dictionary entry in Steno notes in editor now only deletes a single entry.
    • Refresh option is now implemented when deleting an entry
    • New display option at bottom of screen will display Real-time translation statistics on the fly.
    • Audio Play, record, stop, and pause buttons have been added to tool bar.
    • Cursor column position has been added to SmartCAT display
    • Start/Stop Real-time menu item have been moved to their own menu
    • ESC now cancels text selection before closing notes window
    • Margin paragraph is now only moves the first line of text with the tab key
    • Get Files now include a end paragraph mark, as not to connect to the paragraph above when chosen
    • Stitching now adds space between last letter stitched and next translated word.
    • Toolbar now resides on a single line to maximize workspace F9 now saves job while in transcript editor but does not exit the job
    • CTRL-K will now toggle capitalization the next word even if that word is not highlighted
    • When converting the numbers 21-99 a hyphen is now added between the words (i.e.. twenty-one)
  • Dictionary Editor
    • Test Globaling is now implemented in Dictionary Editor
  • Style Sheet
    • Style Sheet has now been extended to store multiple headers and footers.
    • Style Sheet starting page number setting is now memorized Correction to style sheet corrects error with SmartCAT and line numbering Job Properties
    • Now displays percentage of translate, conflict, and untranslates on main page Line spacing
    • We have now implemented an easy to use method of changing line spacing that is based on single double and triple line spacing options.
  • Spell Check
    • Spell check now automatically copies spelling lexicons to newly created user directories
  • Index
    • Get file now moves Index mark properly.
